We are a thriving Orthodox Christian parish in Meridian, supporting communities throughout all of the Treasure Valley, and one of only eight Orthodox churches, serving as a beacon of Orthodoxy in Idaho.

Our vision is to create a beautiful and awe-inspiring sacred place to spread the Gospel in the Treasure Valley through apostolic and traditional Orthodox worhip, fellowship that will create deep and lasting relationships, and compassionate ministries that will serve our surrounding community while we grow on our own spirtual journeys.

We need your help!

Our parish has outgrown our existing building in downtown Meridian several years before planned.

We were fortunate enough to find a 4.5acre parcel of land near our current location and purchased it in 2024.

We are now building our new church to handle our parish’s growth and to ensure we can continue serving the Treasure Valley.

How we support the Treasure Valley

Our charitable and service-oriented programs and events serve both those within the parish as well as the most vulnerable in the Treasure Valley. In addition to an annual Annunciation Tea that benefits a different nonprofit, we have a nationally-acclaimed Prison Ministry program that has taught church history in prison and supports other parishes who are considering implementing similar programs. A group of parishioners have generally been going twice per week for about a year and a half totaling over 120 visits.

Fellowship activities are all designed to grow and strengthen the Christ-centered relationships among our members. This is done through weekly agape meals, Orthodox feast day celebrations, organized mens’ and women’s groups, and participation in Treasure Valley Pan-Orthodox gatherings.

Sunday School: Faith-based education for young ones aimed at supporting the efforts of parents to deepen understanding in the liturgical calendar, the Church, major feasts and lives of the saints. This serves over 90 young ones weekly.

Catechumen Classes: serves over 30 inquirers attending after weekly services as well as youth education classes for the children of inquirers – helping to introduce the basics of the Orthodox Church to these young minds.

High School Group: meets monthly to help teens bond, socialize and grow closer to those in their own faith.

Learn about our building phases

In 2023, our parish raised over $700,000 which has allowed us to purchase a nearly five acre plot near Hwy 16 and Chinden (26) in Meridian. This initial phase also supported the detailed design, architectural plans, city planning, and engineering work that has been done to date.

Phase 2 is expected to cost over $1M and will allow us to move into the property. Our first-use building will be a “gateway center” and is designed to be approx 11,000 sqft, with over 5,000 sqft of worship space (altar, nave, narthex). The remaining space will be configurable for various uses including an agape hall, a kitchen, classrooms, office, storage, and restrooms.
