We are the Parish of Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Meridian Idaho. We are a part of the Ancient Patriarch of Antioch of the Orthodox Christian Church, the city where “thy were first called Christians.”  

In 2016, our parish outgrew our previous building located in downtown Boise, so we then purchased our current in Meridian. At the time of our move, we had approximately sixty-five people attending, we believed that our new Meridian location, with a capacity of 150 people would last us for at least 10 years. However, by the grace of God our parish has burgeoned to 175 people with new people, seemingly, showing up every Sunday. 

We are looking to raise $2,000,000, to help purchase a new property in the Meridian area to support our parish’s growth.  We’ve raised over $606,000 towards our Phase I goal.

Exciting Update!!!

The Harry W Morrison Foundation has offered us a one year, 3:1 challenge grant for our new church property capital campaign. 

If we can raise another $180,000 in giving by March 4, 2025, then the Harry W Morrison Foundation will write Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church a check for $60,000!

There is a population of approximately 1.1M people in the Treasure Valley, yet, Orthodoxy is still not well known here, as in many places – while we have had astronomical growth in the last few years, our community is still a mission field for Orthodox Christianity.
